Why has the Huski Short Tumbler 2.0 been renamed?Updated 13 days ago

Well, that’s an interesting story! As Huski has grown internationally, we ran into some trademark issues in Australia. To resolve this, we agreed to focus the Huski brand on products that keep your drinks beautifully chilled, rather than hot drinks or coffee. However, we still wanted to create great products for keeping drinks piping hot, which is why we started Smoco.

It’s the same award-winning team behind Huski coolers, just under a different brand for our hot drink range. In a nutshell, Huski is all about keeping drinks chilled, while Smoco is specifically designed for hot drinks and coffee.

The name Smoco is inspired by the classic work break traditionally known in NZ and AU as Smoko. We figured everyone, from the workshop to the office, enjoys a good break and a piping hot cup of tea or coffee to go with it.
